Woman stabbed to death in Lorain, son arrested

A woman was stabbed to death in Lorain Sunday afternoon and now her son is facing charges in her death. 

Police responded to the 400 block of Concord Drive around 3:23 p.m. Sunday for a report of a woman bleeding in the back yard of a home.

Police said 52-year-old Kimberly Manila appeared to have been stabbed multiple times. She was taken to Mercy Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.

Kimberly's son, 26-year-old Zachary Manila, is in custody in connection with her death. 

He is charged with one count of murder. Police say Zachary has been cooperative in the investigation.
