A 15-year-old girl who went missing with her father in Brunswick Monday night, prompting a nationwide Amber Alert, has been found.

William Roberts is in police custody after a brief chase Tuesday, according to Brunswick police. His daughter, Robin Roberts, was taken to Akron Children's Hospital for evaluation.

Robin left a K-Mart in Brunswick with William, 40, Monday at 7:49 p.m.

Police said she never got on the school bus that afternoon.

Robin and her 9-year-old sister were recently removed from William's custody by Portage County Job and Family Services and placed in foster care after police found meth in his home,  said Lt. Gregory Johnson, Portage County Sheriff Department.

The 9-year-old girl is being held in an undisclosed location for fear William would get her, Johnson said.

William is a registered sex offender with a drug history.

According to the Ohio Attorney General's website, William's last known listed address is in Ravenna. He was convicted in 2005 of gross sexual imposition.

William has a pending drug case in Portage County court.

The Amber Alert was sent nationwide Tuesday, just before the two were captured by police.
