HOMER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Medina Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash involving a FedEx truck and an Amish buggy Friday afternoon.
The crash happened just after 2 p.m. on State Route 301 in Homer Township, Medina County.
It's not known what caused the crash.
Authorities said the FedEx driver sustained minor injuries. The buggy driver was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition. The horse had to be put down due to the extent of its injuries.
Drugs and or alcohol are not thought to have contributed to the crash.
The matter remains under investigation.
