RAVENNA, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash between a semi-truck and a pedestrian.
Troopers said Brian Wagner, 59, was driving a semi-truck westbound on State Route 14.
When Wagner was nearing the 17-year-old pedestrian, the teenager entered the lane and was struck.
Before Wagner hit the teen, he slowed down and attempted to avoid the pedestrian, according to troopers.
No other vehicles were involved.
The 17-year-old was taken to University Hospital in Ravenna and flown by helicopter to University Hospital in Cleveland.
He was not wearing reflective gear, according to troopers.
The incident remains under investigation.
