PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio — A Portage County School's lockdown has been lifted after a threatening note was found in the boy's bathroom.
Around 11 a.m., Portage County officials received a from the Waterloo Middle School SRO that a threatening note was found in the boy's bathroom warning everyone of a threat that would occur at noon, according to officials.
The school was placed on a soft lockdown as a precautionary measure until sheriff's deputies arrived.
The school was secured and searched by sheriff's deputies.
While deputies were searching the school, detectives began to question individuals who may have been responsible, according to a press release.
A juvenile student admitted to writing and leaving the note.
The school's lockdown was lifted and classes resumed as scheduled.
The Portage County Sheriff's Office is discussing possible charges with the Portage County Prosecutor's Office.
