Burglars hit multiple homes in Mansfield

MANSFIELD, Ohio — The Richland County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men accused of multiple burglaries.

According to the sheriff, they are investigating three burglaries, two breaking and enterings, two stolen vehicles and fifteens thefts from vehicles. All of these incidents occurred late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.

The offenses happened on the east side of Mansfield in Madison and Mifflin Townships.

A county-owned vehicle and a 40-caliber rifle were reported stolen.

The vehicle was found on West 5th Street, but the firearm was not located.

The other stolen vehicle was recovered in the Ontario area.

A second weapon, a 9mm handgun, was stolen from another unlocked vehicle in the area.

The suspects have a slight to medium build and are between 5-feet-8-inches and 6-feet tall.

Authorities are asking that residents secure all weapons, lock their vehicles and report suspicious activity.
