A Mansfield man accused of slitting the throats of four puppies in August 2017 will spend more than three years behind bars.
Christopher Vandenberg is sentenced to 40 months in prison. Investigators say he cut the puppies after an argument with his wife.
Vandenberg's wife said she wasn't home for two days, and when she came back she found them with cuts.
The Humane Society of Richland County took custody of the dogs, and says they all recovered and have been adopted.
