MANSFIELD, Ohio — Mansfield police arrested a man accused of fatally shooting a man at a motel.
The shooting happened Thursday around 1:45 a.m. at the Motel 6 on North Trimble Road.
Police said two people were found at the hotel with multiple gunshot wounds.
A 29-year-old woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment and rushed into surgery.
Her condition is unknown at this time.
A 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said Earl Jefferson II, 43, fled from the scene before officers arrived.
Jefferson turned himself into police hours later.
