One person is dead after troopers said a semi-truck hit an ambulance assisting at a crash scene in Richland County on Sunday.

Highway Patrol said the rescue crew was assisting at a crash scene on U.S. 30 in Mansfield at about 11 a.m. when the crash happened.
Troopers said the semi-truck rear-ended the Mifflin Township EMS ambulance, which was parked on the berm assisting the crash that was already there.
The semi-truck then went off the road into the woods before catching fire, according to Highway Patrol.

The driver of the semi-truck died, troopers confirmed to newsnet5.com.
Two Mifflin Township EMS workers were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Troopers said their investigation into the crash continues.
