The Richland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible kidnapping after a woman told authorities her ex-boyfriend took her to a town near Dayton and sexually assaulted her.
According to sheriff's office records, the woman was allegedly taken from her home on Possum Run Road to her ex-boyfriend's home in Kettering, Ohio Friday.
While she was there, her ex-boyfriend physically and sexually assaulted her, she told authorities.
She said she was then returned to her home Monday evening.
The victim was treated at OhioHealth and released.
Kettering police obtained a search warrant to search for evidence related to the kidnapping. At his home they found evidence to support what the victim reported, according to the sheriff's office. Police also found drugs during the search.
The suspect, 34-year-old Craig Hamrock, was arrested on drug charges.
The sheriff's office continues to work with Kettering police to investigate.
