A 1-year-old girl was hit by a car on Sunday and is now in the hospital, according to Canton police.
On Sunday, officers responded to Mercy Medical Center for a traffic crash involving a child.
Police learned the crash occurred in the 1300 block of 19th Street Northeast between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Officers said the child, a 1-year-old girl, was hit on private property. She was taken to Mercy by a private car. She was then taken to Akron Children's Hospital with serious injuries. Her condition is unknown.
The Canton Police Traffic Bureau is investigating the incident.
