A health advisory was issued Monday by the Canton City Health Department for Stark County.
According to the health department, the advisory comes after elevated levels of ozone were found in the air.
Health officials said the eight-hour average for ozone reached 79 parts per billion Sunday, resulting in an Air Quality Index of 111.
That level falls under the “Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups” category.
That means that people with respiratory disease, children, older adults and people who are active outdoors are the groups most at risk.
