A couple in Canal Fulton was cited for dangerous driving after the incident was posted by police on Facebook.
But Gary and Jennifer Mckeown say they didn't do anything wrong.
"So you were not driving?" News 5 asked Gary Mckeown.
"No," he denied driving on a suspended license.
According to police, Gary Mckeown was driving and then his wife switched into his seat.
"Absolutely not true," Gary said.
Jennifer Mckeown also denied any wrongdoing.
"I am a licensed and insured driver and its registered to me," Jennifer said. "I don't understand why y'all are towing my vehicle."
The Mckeown's reached out to News 5 because they say they're being portrayed unfairly on social media.
"I want the public to know the truth of this matter. Not just the one side," Gary Mckeown said. "Nobody was driving when that cop pulled up and flipped his lights on!"
He said they were pulled over when police showed up, but the police report we first reported tells another story.
Canal Fulton police said they saw Gary Mckeown driving. He currently has nine open suspensions, 17 total on his license.

According to the report, his wife said, "she only allowed him to drive to test out a new clutch...he was only driving for two minutes."
Jennifer Mckeown was cited fro wrongful entrustment.
"They're accusing me of driving, but there's no proof of me driving," Gary explained.
Police also cited the couple for no front license plate and a marijuana blunt found in the ashtray.
"They didn't tell everything that went on," Jennifer said.
Since the pallets on the top of the car were secure, of a certain height, and nothing fell, Canal Fulton police say the couple was not breaking the law. They were originally stopped because of their license plate.
Gary and Jennifer Mckeown are both set to appear in court this Wednesday.
