PLAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious motorcycle crash that occurred in Plain Township Friday afternoon.
Around 12:40 p.m., a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling east on U.S. Route 62 near Roosevelt Avenue, troopers said.
A1999 Ford Explorer was heading north on Roosevelt Avenue when the 18-year-old driver failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled out in front of the motorcycle, which then struck the truck, according to troopers.
The 38-year-old driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet but sustained serious injuries from the crash and was transported to Aultman Hospital, troopers said.
The crash remains under investigation.
