A woman was driving down a Canton street last week when she was struck in the face with a piece of asphalt, according to police.
On May 17 around 6:55 p.m. a 51-year-old woman was driving south on Broad Avenue NW in her silver Honda Accord near 4th Street NW when she saw a group of juveniles.
Next thing she knew, she was hit in the face by a piece of asphalt. She told police that before she was hit she saw someone winding up their arm as if they were making a throwing motion.
She was taken to the hospital for her injuries, which authorities said are not serious.
Police were told by neighbors there have been incidents in the past with kids throwing rocks.
Authorities are asking the public to call Detective Shaffer at 330-438-4442 if they have any information related to the incident.
