A 19-year-old in Akron has been sentenced to life in prison after murdering another man.
Fred Taylor Jr. shot Javon Knaff, 23, several times after the two got into an argument at a cookout at the Rosemary Apartments on Nadia Court in Akron. Knaff was taken to the hospital and died shortly after.

Taylor fled to West Virginia, where he was eventually arrested.
Taylor was charged with the following:
- Murder with a gun specification
- Two counts of felonious assault, both with gun specifications
- Having a weapon under disability
Taylor will be eligible for parole after serving 18 years.
