A neighbor saves sleeping resident from a Twinsburg apartment fire

Posted

On Saturday at about 4:51 p.m., the Twinsburg Fire Department responded to a "working apartment fire with residents inside."

Prior to their arrival, a heroic neighbor came to the rescue to save a sleeping resident from the ensuing blaze. The neighbor climbed to the second story rear balcony, woke up the sleeping resident, and jumped from the rear balcony to safety.

Four family dogs were lost in the blaze. The neighbor did suffer smoke inhalation and was transported to a nearby hospital where his condition is unknown.

One apartment was uninhabitable following the blaze. The other tenants in the building were allowed to return once it was deemed safe.

The Twinsburg Fire Investigators are currently searching for a cause.
