Authorities investigating arson fire at home on Penguin Drive in Coventry Township

COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Authorities in Summit County are investigating after someone intentionally set a house on fire in Coventry Township, causing it to be completely destroyed.

The Ohio Blue ribbon Arson Committee is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the person who started the fire at a home on Penguin Drive on Jan. 6.

When firefighters and deputies arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames. There were no residents in the house at the time and no injuries were reported.

Investigators said evidence at the scene showed the fire was likely intentionally set. The evidence was submitted to the state fire marshal’s forensic lab.
