William Jobe, 29, pled guilty in court on Thursday to violently shaking his girlfriend’s baby.

Jobe pled guilty to one charge of endangering children.

According to police, emergency crews responded to Jobe’s Second Street home on Aug. 19, 2015 after receiving a 911 call regarding an 8-month-old who was having trouble breathing.

Officials said the 8-month-old was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

During an interview with police, Jobe, who was the live-in boyfriend of the infant’s mother and was home alone at the time of the incident, admitted to shaking the child.

Authorities reported the 8-month-old is recovering from a significant brain injury, but faces a long process.

Jobe is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 7 at 10 a.m.
