A Summit County father has been sentenced to jail time in connection to the 2014 death of his 4-month-old daughter.

Louis Delery, 24, was sentenced to 11 years in prison, the maximum allowed by law, for involuntary manslaughter.

Delery's daughter, Addison, passed away in August 2014.

At the time, Delery called 911 to report that his daughter had stopped breathing. She was transported to the hospotal where she later died.

An autopsy by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner concluded that Addison had multiple rib fractures. It was determined that she died from a chest compression that stopped her breathing.

Delery was arrested in June of last year.

He pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter on Dec. 10.

“Louis Delery squeezed the life out of his daughter, Addison. He gave nine different accounts of what happened in August of 2014, but has never taken responsibility for his actions,” said Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh. “Addison’s mother, grandmother, and family have to deal with this horrible tragedy every day for the rest of their lives.”
