One injured after Springfield Township Quality Inn shooting

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Springfield Township police are investigating after a person was shot at a Quality Inn Hotel.

Around 10:15 a.m., officers were called to the Quality Inn Hotel on South Arlington Road for reports of a shooting.

Once on scene, officers found a 25-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his arm and hip, police said.

The man was reportedly shot while in his vehicle at the hotel, according to police.

The man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were able to identify the suspected shooter as 18-year-old Marquis Andre, who was seen leaving the area in a blue, newer model Ford Fusion, police said.

Warrants for felonious assault were issued against Vinson, who police believe to be armed and dangerous.
