A 17-year-old boy from Streetsboro was electrocuted while climbing a high voltage electrical tower on Monday.
Officers responded to the Gorge Metro Park Highbridge Trail in Akron around 2 p.m.
Witness and friends of the victim told Akron police the boy fell about 30-feet to the ground.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
His identity is being withheld until his family is notified.
