Man charged in rape of elderly woman turns himself into Summit County Sheriff's Office

Summit County Sheriff's Office has found the man who is charged with the rape of an elderly woman. 

Raymond Gates, 42, of Boston Heights, turned himself into the Summit County Sheriff's Office. He is charged with the rape, and an arrest warrant has been issued, according to a news release. 

Authorities were called Nov. 11, 2016, to a residence in Northfield Center Township for a disoriented elderly woman after she began knocking on another woman's door, the release said. 

The elderly woman was barefoot and was unable to communicate with police of Cleveland Clinic staff. An investigation determined the woman was raped by Gates.

Gates and the woman know each other.
