A woman was hospitalized in serious condition after a hit-skip in the City of Green, the Summit County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
On Tuesday shortly after 7 p.m., a motorist called 911 after spotting a woman lying motionless on the side of Jarvis Road.
During the investigation, authorities said it appears the woman, identified as a 62-year-old Green resident, was walking north on Jarvis Road while pulling a pink suitcase. While on the scene, authorities were only able to locate the handle of the suitcase.
The woman was taken to Akron City Hospital with significant head injuries.
The woman has been unable to give any details on the vehicle's description. Anyone with information is asked to call the Summit County Sheriff's Office at 330-643-8635.
