A woman was injured after someone threw a rock at her while driving in Akron Wednesday night.

Police responded to the 2000 block of East Market Street at around 8:30 p.m.

The 39-year-old woman from Kent had visible injuries to her lip and suffered two broken teeth, police said.

The woman told police she saw a man on a bicycle throw a rock through her driver's side window, which hit her mouth.

The man took off on his bike in an unknown direction.

The woman was taken to Akron General-Cleveland Clinic for non-life threatening injuries.

She described the man as 30 to 40 years old, stocky, bald and wearing a blue shirt and blue shorts at the time of the incident.
