Two men have been charged in connection to an animal cruelty case involving the torturing of a baby opossum with a butane torch on Facebook Live, authorities said.
Justin Brill,18, is charged with cruelty to animals, and Brent Vickers Jr., 21, is charged with complicity.
A concerned citizen told New Philadelphia police about a video showing the two men allegedly streaming themselves on Facebook Live torturing opossum with a torch.
New Philadelphia police contacted both of the men, and police say they confessed to the act.
Brill is being held on a $125,000 bond in New Philadelphia City Jail. Vickers is scheduled in court on May 17.
Police do not know if the animal survived.
