In general, Northeast Ohio is full of neighborhoods that make for great places to live, but one city, in particular, made it to Time's Best Places to Live list.

Tucked between Ohio's two major cities—Cleveland and Columbus—Wooster gives residents the small-town vibe with all the necessary amenities.

Out of 100 cities, Wooster ranked #37 because of its academic presence of institutions such as College of Wooster, Agricultural Technical Institute and Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center.

Located in downtown Wooster, it's an antique collector's dream with numerous shops filled with collectibles and antiques. Bakeries, thrift stores and souvenir shops fill the city's downtown streets.

Taking advantage of all the seasons, Wooster boasts a fertile wine country that you can enjoy in the hot summer months and the cold winter months—it's simply heaven for any wine enthusiast.

Local Yelp users recommend Troutman Winery because of "its scenic outdoor atmosphere and cozy indoor gathering space."

The WoosterBrewfest, the Home & Garden Show and Restaurant & Retail week are events marked well in advance on residents' calendar.

Wooster has many key features that make it a desirable city:

  • Median home price: $117,166
  • Average morning commutes: 16 minutes
  • Projected Job Growth: 4.4%
  • Wayne Center for the Arts
