Rittman police are looking for a man who forced his way into a home and robbed a woman at gunpoint early Thursday morning.

Police said the masked man kicked in a back door of home on Louise Street around 3:15 a.m.

Cheryl Mathys and her four daughters, ages 8 to 21, were asleep, but three of them were awakened during the terrifying home invasion.

The suspect went into Mathys' bedroom, pointed a handgun at her, grabbed her by the arm and demanded she give him "the money."

Mathys and her children were not injured. A 12-year-old girl jumped out of a window and ran to a neighbor's home for help.

Mathys said the intruder was wearing a ski mask, a gray sweatshirt with a black vest over it, black pants and black shoes.

"I want him caught. I want him caught and I will know him. I will know him from his eyes when I see him," Mathys said. "I want my kids to feel safe."

The suspect left the home through the back door and officers have not been able to locate him. However, the victim has video surveillance from inside her home showing part of the incident.
