Vehicle stolen at gunpoint in Euclid later crashes after pursuit with Cleveland Heights police

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — A stolen vehicle used in an aggravated robbery in Euclid crashed in Cleveland Heights Thursday night, according to the Cleveland Heights Police Department.

At approximately 8:42 a.m., a Cleveland Heights police officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle refused to stop for officers.

The officer followed the vehicle but terminated the chase. After terminating the chase, the vehicle crashed on Yellowstone Road.

Officers surrounded the crashed vehicle and arrested an adult male and a teen girl.

The teen was charged with obstructing official business and receiving stolen property. She was later turned over to the custody of her mother, police said.

The adult male remains in custody.

It's unclear when the vehicle was stolen in Euclid.
