Amber Alert issued canceled after 1-year-old boy found unharmed

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — Update: The Amber Alert has been canceled. The child was found unharmed.

The man who allegedly took the child was arrested without incident.

An Amber Alert has been issued after a man allegedly abducted a 1-year-old boy from his Franklin County home Tuesday night.

Deputies said the 1-year-old was taken from his home in Madison Township by a 50-year-old man.

He is 36 inches tall and weighs 38 pounds. He has no hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue pajamas.

He is 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Deputies said he fired a weapon before taking the child and has a tattoo on his upper left arm and a cross on his wrist.

Authorities believe the man is considered to be armed and dangerous.
