Posted

An online rumor, claiming the demise of Spirit Halloween stores, has been laid to rest by the store itself.

Spirit Halloween posted a message on Facebook, dispelling rumors that it would also be a victim of COVID-19 and would not be open for this year's Halloween.

In the Facebook post Spirit said, "We heard you're crushed, disheartened, and downright sad. Well, don't worry, the rumors aren't true. WE ARE BACK & WE GOT THIS COVERED."

Spirit operates more than 1,400 locations across the country, commonly in recently closed large retail stores.

Spirit said it would be opening up its stores in August.

"It's been a challenging year, but we promise to keep the Halloween spirit alive."
