Floods swallow California as severe storms kill three

California was slammed by the strongest storm to hit the state in six years over the weekend, leading to massive flooding and the death of at least three people. The storms offered stunning images of the Golden State under water.

    At 2:30p yesterday afternoon Thousand Oaks PD received a call about 3 people stuck on an elevated area down in a barranca. Able to rescue the three during the rescue of the three hikers, they found out one of the people that were with them had been swept down river. Search efforts began at that point until 8pm when it got dark and too wet. The search continued at 6:30am at about 8:35am a body was located by the police aviation unit North of an area in Camino Dos Rios.
