The tragic shootings in Dallas is raising concerns in Cleveland with the upcoming RNC.

Many, still are not sure how events this past week will affect the demonstrations and protests planned for the RNC.

NewsChannel 5 asked the demonstrators, who are planning to head to Cleveland.

Monica Moran, with Stand Together Against Trump, called the shootings tragic, but said her group won't change their RNC plans in light of them.

"To my knowledge, everyone is on board and good go. If anything, we feel this is absolutely the time in history and politics to make sure we are standing against things like racism. It only makes our cause more clear...We are not deterred by the actions of a few," Moran said.

We checked in with a dozen more local and statewide groups- not one said they planned to back out of the RNC.

"We planned all along to have peaceful and nonviolent protests at the Republican National Convention," Monica Moran told NewsChannel 5.

National organizations, like the Coalition to Stop Trump, said more people may show up no.

"It's more important than ever that we are able to have a rally and protest," Tom Burke said.

Burke added that many protesters would like to see less police presence in Cleveland.

"We view that as more intimidation towards our protest than anything...I've been at a lot of protests where the role was to intimate protestors, we would ask that less police less come to the protests in Cleveland. We ask for less police," Burke said.

NewsChannel 5 checked in with the ACLU- to see if they anticipate any plans changing regarding protests and demonstrations.

A spokesman said they do not want the recent unfortunate events to cast a shadow on the thousands who plan to demonstrate in Cleveland.
