Authorities in Hocking County search for missing police K-9 who took off after a deer

CLEVELAND — Authorities in southern Ohio have issued a missing K-9 officer alert Sunday after a K-9 took off and never returned.

Between 5:30 and 6 p.m., Hocking County Sheriff's K-9 Ilka was playing with her handler Deputy Rick Torchick at their residence on Jackson Road in Pickaway County, located just outside of Laurelville, when Ilka took off after a deer and never returned.

Ilka was wearing a chain choker collar.

If anyone sees Ilka or has any information on her whereabouts, you're asked to call the Hocking County Sheriff's Office at 740-385-2131.
