SANDUSKY TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A pedestrian who was struck by a car Friday night in Sandusky Township died early Saturday morning.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the pedestrian has been identified as Jose Navarro, of Woodville, Ohio.
Authorities say Navarro was walking north in the southbound lane of County Road 53 when he was hit by a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was traveling south, troopers said.
EMS treated Navarro on scene, and he was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo where he later succumbed to his injuries, according to OSHP.
The Jeep’s driver was not injured in the crash.
The matter remains under investigations.
