TOWNSEND TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Virginia man was arrested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol last week when troopers found 10 pounds of marijuana in his car.

Thomas Ray St. Clair, 34, has been charged with possession of marijuana and hashish, both third-degree felonies, according to OSHP.

Troopers pulled over St. Clair's car on Dec. 14 around 4:43 p.m. in Sandusky County. The man's vehicle was searched after authorities smelled marijuana coming from the car, authorities said.

The marijuana had a street value of more than $29,000, authorities said.

St. Clair is facing up to six years in prison and a $20,000 fine, according to the OSHP.
