CLEVELAND — A new company in Cleveland is making its rounds across the city, making sure man's best friend is well taken care of in an innovative way.
K-9 Mobile Fitness recently opened and allows dogs to get exercised on treadmills in the company's vehicle. Dogs can also get a relaxing massage to help them unwind.
The new company will come to your door and help take care of your pooch when you might not have the time.
Kristi Holzman, owner of K-9 Mobile Fitness, said that her company's services will help improve the general well being of any dog.
"The first time we take them a lot of times they are very nervous, they'll be very hesitant to get on the treadmill and we encourage them and they start to gain confidence," Holzman said. "Its great for them cause we've got dogs who refuse to get on the treadmill and we keep encouraging them and within the next sessions they are on their running away and they are having a great time."
K-9 Mobile Fitness plans to work with the Cleveland Animal Protective League to help exercise the dogs at the shelter and to help get them adopted.
The company is also working with apartment buildings around Cleveland to help get city pooches active and exercised.
