LAKEWOOD, Ohio — The restaurant industry has been hit hard by the stay at home order, but Salt, a restaurant in Lakewood, is doing everything in its power to maintain its upscale feel and award winning roots while serving the local community.

Salt, 17625 Detroit Ave., has been open in Lakewood for about 4 and a half years. The chef was a two-time James Beard Award finalist, but in the wake of the coronavirus, the restaurant went from a more upscale style of dine-in food to family-style takeout.

They just learned they got a Paycheck Protection Program loan, and right now they are trying to figure out what the restaurant will do once they get the go ahead from the state to reopen.
