The Cleveland Cavaliers acquired the rights to forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for center Sasha Kaun and cash considerations.
The trade also creates a traded player exception for the Cavaliers in the amount of Kaun’s salary.
The trade exception will now allow space for the Cavs to bring in Center Chris “Birdman” Andersen.
Head coach Tyronn Lue said on NBA TV this week the Cavs the team was going to get Andersen.
Andersen played in Memphis this past season. He averaged 3.9 points, 3.6 rebounds in 14.9 minutes per game. He was a teammate with LeBron James in Miami.
Kaun played in 25 games for Cleveland during the 2015-16 season.
