These are the two Cleveland-area athletes who are playing in the Super Bowl

CLEVELAND — The big game is just less than two weeks away, and although the Browns aren't competing in the game, Cleveland will still be represented.

There are two local athletes that will be playing in the Super Bowl.

New England Patriots

Quarterback Brian Hoyer is from North Olmsted. Hoyer played football at St. Ignatius. He played college football at Michigan State before signing with the Patriots as a undrafted free agent in 2009.

Hoyer also played for the Browns from 2013-2014.

Los Angeles Rams

Guard Rodger Saffold is from Bedford. Saffold played football at Bedford High School. He played college football at Indiana University before getting drafted by the St. Louis Rams in 2010 in the second round as the 33rd pick.
