LAKE TOWNSHIP — The Stark County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday morning in Lake Township.
Deputies responded to the 8200 block of St. Patrick Avenue NW at 7:32 a.m.
Deputies located a 24-year-old man who had been shot during a home break-in. The male was transported to a nearby hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Investigators learned that the 24-year-old male allegedly forced his way into the residence and prompted the 50-year-old homeowner to shoot him.
According to the sheriff's office, detectives determined it was a domestic-related incident.
