CLEVELAND — Spring is finally here, and so is the warm weather, but it doesn’t come without scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. Stronger afternoon thunderstorms could increase the risk for potential flooding in low-level areas.
Stay alert today as there will be a risk for a few severe storms. Best chance is in slight risk yellow area that includes Cleveland & Akron. Main threat will be for some storms to produce damaging winds around 60 mph. #ohwx#weather #wews #Cleveland pic.twitter.com/OxQh4kUoyE

We're 15-20 degrees warmer this morning than we were Wednesday morning. We'll also be 15-20 degrees warmer this afternoon than we were yesterday afternoon! Temperatures will reach above 70 degrees in most areas.
Plan on a few downpours, gusty winds and occasional lightning and thunder. We're staying unsettled into the afternoon. Listen for thunder. If you're close enough to hear thunder, you're close enough to get struck by lightning.
The Power of 5 Weather team says the best time to get outside is between 12 and 4 p.m., but even then, there could be some sprinkles.
