CLEVELAND — Labor Day is just around the corner, and it's time to start thinking about the weather. It's way too early for specifics but we're on it! We are paying close attention to the unofficial end of summer this weekend. Sunset is now before 8 p.m, with average afternoon highs cooler than 80 degrees and we're already starting to see a couple leaves change.

We're watching a few rounds of storms before we can focus on the weekend. Thankfully our active next couple of days will be long gone before any of us start getting outdoors for the weekend. Those storms are taking our heat with them, though.

Plan in the 70s (some stuck in the 60s) Friday with a ton of sun. The sun carries over into Saturday with temps in the upper 70s. Temps in the 80s returning Sunday but that brings a shot at rain. It's looking right now like it might hold off until the evening/overnight hours. That's good news for our Labor Day. Cooler for sure but also drier!

Make plans to get outside this weekend but pack the sleeves for late-night/morning hikes and watch for that one shot at rain late Sunday.
