CLEVELAND — A few t-showers rolled in during Thursday afternoon and will continue to be possible into the evening. This is especially true in the northern half of our viewing area tonight. Showers will exit around midnight. It will remain mainly dry overnight with mild temperatures in the 50s.
The better chance for everyone across NEO to get some rain comes on Friday with more widespread showers and a couple of rumbles of thunder. The morning commute and bus stops look dry, but rain will be en route. Rain will start mid-morning in our NW communities and pull SE throughout the day. The highest chance for rain is spack dab in the middle of the day. Rain will slowly come to an end as the rain pushes southeast by Friday evening. The severe threat looks minimal, and rainfall amounts will be around a tenth to a quarter of an inch.
Temperatures will take a dip throughout the day on Friday. Highs will already be about 10 degrees cooler than Thursday, but as the cold front moves through, temperatures will drop from north to south throughout the afternoon and evening. 30s are expected by Friday night. The temperature change from Friday to Saturday will certainly be noticeable. Plan on upper 40s and lower 50s on Saturday, which is running about 10 degrees below average.
This weekend looks mainly dry as well, and the cooldown is BRIEF! The warmth is surging back by Sunday. Mid to even upper 70s are expected for several days next week. But with the warmth comes the return of daily storm chances. Although each day has a chance for sporadic storms, it does not look like a washout every single day.
