You've probably seen the commercials. We have a new face here at NewsChannel 5.
So, who is Rob Powers?
He's new to the 4, 6 and 11 p.m. shows, but he's not new to Cleveland.
In fact, he's not even new to NewsChannel 5.
“I interned here at Channel 5 about 30 years ago," says Powers.
Raised in Parma Heights, Powers is a graduate of Holy Name High School and Eastern Michigan University.
Powers brings his family of four to Cleveland, including wife Debbie and their two sons.
"The goal was always to come back some day and re-connect with my hometown. Most of my family members are still in the area, too, so this is a chance to come back to them as well. This is a special time in this city’s history; no better time for me to come home to Cleveland and NewsChannel 5.”

Rob knows and loves our sports teams as well as the communities we serve.”
