A statewide Endangered Child Advisory has been issued for a 15-year-old girl from Zanesville who is believed to have been taken by her non-custodial mother, according to the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office.
The girl was last seen in her school parking lot on Friday morning, according to deputies.
She was walking into school when she was approached by an adult, believed to be her non-custodial mother, deputies said.
The teen was last seen getting into a silver or tan Honda.
Deputies described the girl as standing around 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes.
The mother is described as standing around 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 105 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a white and black checkered hooded sweatshirt and grey sweatpants.
