LIST: 2015 Emmy award winners

Posted

It was a huge night for "Game of Thrones" at the 2015 Emmys on Sunday night.

The HBO series, which picked up 24 nominations in July, set a new record for the most number of wins—12—for a series in a single year.

Not only did "Game of Thrones" win best drama, but also, Peter Dinklage accepted the award for best supporting actor, while David Benioff and Dan Weiss won for their writing. David Nutter picked up an Emmy for directing, too.

Meanwhile, best limited series or movie winner "Olive Kitteridge," also an HBO project, was the second most successful project of this year's awards, earning eight Emmys overall. Richard Jenkins and Frances McDormand picked up best actor and actress in a limited series or movie, while Bill Murray was named best supporting actor in the category.
