CLEVELAND — Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz from the hit series “American Pickers” on The History Channel plan to travel in October in search of the ultimate treasure, and they are calling on Ohio residents to submit the stories behind their collections for a chance to be featured on the show.

The Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce said producers reached out to it asking about anyone who might be a good fit for the show.

With the pandemic in mind, American Pickers wants to hear from locals who have an arsenal of antique treasures worthy of the national spotlight. Producers are asking residents to submit the story behind their stuff. The show sent us this statement:

"We understand that with the proliferation of COVID-19, we are all facing very uncertain times. We at American Pickers are taking the pandemic very seriously and will be following all guidelines and protocols for safe filming as outlined by each state. While we plan to be in Ohio in October, we will continue to re-schedule if conditions change for the worse. Regardless, we are excited to continue to reach the many collectors in the area to discuss their years of picking! If you feel it appropriate, we really hope you’re able to help us let the people in your backyards know!"

If you or someone you know has a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the Pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through, send them your name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos.
