Roar into the 2020s with these New Year's Eve celebrations throughout Cleveland

CLEVELAND — We’re less than a month away from ringing in a new decade, and that calls for a celebration. Whether residents are looking for live music, a ritzy roaring party or a family fun outing that doesn't keep the kids up past their bedtime, there’s a to to do in Cleveland to celebrate a new year, and a new decade on Jan. 1, 2020!

With the help of Destination Cleveland, we've rounded up the best events our city has to offer. Please note that many of these events sell out fast. Check the venue's website for the most up-to-date ticket availability.

The Roaring 20s

Sapphire Creek Winery & Gardens

Residents can ring in the New Year in 1920s style with an exclusive evening at Sapphire Creek Winery & Gardens. The “Roaring New Year’s Eve Bash” will include music from DJ Kyro, food and an opening bar. More info here.

The Metropolitan at the 9

There’s no other place in Cleveland that quite screams the 20s other than The Metropolitan at the 9. The old vaults where Rockefeller and Carnegie stored their millions is now a luxury cocktail lounge. Part it up inside the historic architecture of The Vault with an iconic 20s speakeasy vibes. Attendees should dress to impress in their flapper best or upscale cocktail attire. More info here.

100th Bomb Group Restaurant

Live entertainment

The Cleveland Pops Orchestra

Northeast Ohioans can flock to Severance Hall to celebrate 100 years of one of the best orchestras in the country. Under conductor Carl Topilow, Cleveland Pops Orchestra will take the stage for a two-hour concert featuring tuns from 1920 to today. Attendees who dress in their best 20s outfit have a chance to win a cash prize for the best themed outfit. More info here.

The Big Bang Dueling Piano Bar

Clevelanders can sing, laugh and dance to live music all the way into the new year at The Big Bang in the Flats East Bank. This Banging 20s Bash invites attendees to dress in their flapper, Gatsby and gangster garb and go back in time to the glamorous era. More info here.

Pickwick & Frolic

The well-known restaurant and comedy club on East 4th Street is offering a variety of packages to ring in the New Year. Guests can see comedian Kevin Bozeman, enjoy a dinner with a show or watch a “Rockin’ NYE” cabaret performance. More info here.

A Night of Glitz and Glam-Hollywood Nights will have you dancing and celebrating well into the New Year. Guests can expect to have an appearance by Mike Johnson of Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelorette. There will be an open bar and a champagne toast. More info here.

Twist Social Club

  • Anne Cochran and Abe LaMarca will team up for a seven-piece band to bring together their vocals to Cleveland in two shows.

  • The Great Lakes Leading Latin Jazz Group featuring Sammy Deleon and jazz artist Jackie Warren will also entertain crowds during two performances on New Year’s Eve.

Beachland Ballroom

Located in Cleveland’s Waterloo Art District, Beachland Ballroom is throwing it back to the 60s for a New Year’s Eve celebration. Beatles cover band, The George Martins, will play iconic music that defined an era. More info here.

Family fun

Cleveland Museum of Natural History

Can’t stay up until midnight? This family-friendly event will allow children to roar in the new year with special giant dinosaur-egg drops and see what surprises await inside. Join the countdown in Murch Auditorium at noon, 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. More info here.

The Corner Alley

The children can join in on the fun with bowling at The Corner Alley in downtown Cleveland. There will be arcade games, a photo booth, free face painting and bowling. Stop by Public Square to see the holiday lights. More info here.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
