Rock Hall hosts watch party for induction ceremony

Posted

It was a rock and roll night filled with glitz, glamour and plenty of hairspray as music legends arrived on the red carpet for the 2018 Rock Hall Induction Ceremony.

The 2018 Hall of Fame class included The Cars, Dire Straits and none other than Bon Jovi.

Hundreds of fans filled the Rock Hall for the simulcast of the ceremony, and they weren't afraid to bust a move, dancing along and playing air guitar.

While the night was special for rock icons, it was also a special night for one very big fan.

"I shouldn't say this on camera, but she's turning 50 years old and we wanted to come down here and celebrate with the city and she's a big Bon Jovi fan and that's probably one of the big reasons we're here," said Bon Jovi fan Matthew Leutwyler.

"He's been my favorite since I was probably like 13 years old," said Cheryl Leutwyler, an even bigger Bon Jovi fan.

Attendees of the simulcast were also impressed by some of the recent upgrades and additions made at the Rock Hall, which has undergone a multi-year, multi-million dollar facelift.
